1500s overlooking the Antrim Coast.

· Derry Girls Mural: 1 hour 20 minutes drive

Paying tribute to the Channel 4 TV show, Derry Girls provided a glimpse into life in Northern Ireland

during the troubles, perfect for anyone interested in Northern Ireland’s recent history.

· Guild Hall: 1 hour 25 minutes drive

The Guild Hall is a host to concerts, such as the Imbolc festival, and cultural events in the city, however,

Derry Girls brought more attention to the landmark in the Season 2

finale when President Bill Clinton visited in 1995.

MUST SEES

· Crumlin Road Gaol: 30 minutes drive

Steeped in history, dating back to 1846, take part in a guided tour to

find out all about the jail’s past.

· Mussenden Temple: 1 hour drive

Inspired by the Temples of Vesta in Tivoli, this 1700s library overlooks a cliff edge and the

Atlantic Ocean. One of Northern Ireland’s most photographed attractions.

· Ulster American Folk Park: 1 hour 25 minute drive

Following the journey from Ireland to the ‘New World’ (America) as millions did during the famine.

Step back in time and visit 18th/19th Century Ireland and board the

Brig Union ship to arrive in the New World! 

· Ulster Folk and Transport Museum: 35 minute drive

Showcasing land, sea and sky transport, even the famous DeLorean as seen in Back to the Future.

This museum is full of interactive exhibits for all the family.

· Gobbins Cliff Walk: 45 minutes

The cliff path is not for the faint at heart, showcasing County Antrim’s dramatic

coast line full of bio-diversity and the photogenic sea view.

· Botanic Gardens: 30 minute drive

Visit the garden to see botany from the Southern Hemisphere, or visit the Palm House for a glimpse

of the tropical birds housed in the iconic glass house,

designed by Charles Lanyon, who designed Queen’s University.

· Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge: 1 hour drive

Carrick-a-Rede Island housed a salmon fishery 400 years ago, fisher men used the

rope bridge to access the fishery, now a Northern Irish landmark!

· Carrickfergus Castle: 30 minute drive

Dating back to the 12th centaury, it is one of the best

preserved medieval castles in Ireland.

·Titanic Belfast: 25 minute drive

This museum, opened to commemorate 100 years since the sinking of the ship,

not only do you discover the inner workings of White Starline, you are immersed in

the history of Belfast and its manufacturing industry.

· Giant’s Causeway: 1 hour 5 minute drive

This unique UNESCO world heritage site also has ties to Irish mythology.

Finn McCool is believed to have used the coastal area to create a

causeway to Scotland, hence the name ‘Giant’s Causeway’.

Black Taxi Tour

Featuring guides from both sides from the Northern Irish Conflict, ideal for those interested in

Northern Ireland’s dark tourism. Get a tour of the murals and visit locations of

significance during the troubles such as the Peace Walls,

Falls Road and the Shankill Road.
